The former Shadow Home Secretary, Ann Widdecombe, reveals what life is really like as an MP, a judge and former contestant in ITV’s Celebrity Fit Club. And why she let Louis Theroux film her. This unmissable evening has a definite ‘something of the night’ about it. Ann also takes questions from the audience.

Ann was born in Bath, Somerset and was educated at the Royal Naval School Singapore, La Sainte Union Convent Bath, Birmingham University (BA Hons Latin) and Oxford University (BA Hons Politics, Philosophy and Economics) LMH MA 1976.

From 1987 to 2010 she has been member of Parliament for Maidstone which became Maidstone and The Weald in 1997. Ann has also published 4 books and has appeared in her own TV series ‘Ann Widdecombe to the Rescue’.

Just under a year ago Ann stood against Parmjit Dhanda for the role of Commons Speaker.
Having decided not to seek re-election in this years general election Ann Stood down from her position on April 12th.  She continues to support the Conservative party and would like to write some more novels from her home on Dartmoor.
