Fresh from the sensational ‘Kaleidoscope’ UK tour; Tiësto returns to London’s Victoria Park on 30th July 2010 following last years phenomenal outdoor gig that attracted over 25,000 revelers.   Special guests electro-rockers Pendulum are set to perform their only currently scheduled London show of the year at the event; this week they are number 1 of the UK album charts with their album ‘Immersion’. This will be a chance to see them perform material from the album LIVE at what will be the most exciting live show this summer.   Nominated by DJ magazine for Outstanding Contribution, Radio 1’s Greg Wilson is on board to spin the sounds of the Summer at this extra special DJ extravaganza.   Tiësto says: “Last year’s show in Victoria Park was so amazing.  I can’t wait to do it again!  I’ll be playing a lot of new tracks and bringing some special production.  I’m also excited that Pendulum is going to be on the bill.  Those guys put on a great live show.” In 2009 Tiësto became the first DJ to headline Victoria Park and host his own show, earning rave reviews for his blistering performance and euphoric atmosphere.

PRESS QUOTES: The entire set was accompanied by a massive light show, smoke machines and a confetti cannon that made the entire night worth every penny spent on it.” – RIVMIXXAlong with a spectacular display of confetti cannons, light shows and smoke machines, Tiësto effortlessly lived up to his superstar status and left clamoring for his next show. A huge night, from an equally huge act, and one that will only serve to reaffirm his status as the biggest jock on the planet.” – DEFECTEDQuite simply this was the best one day festival I’d been to in years” – HARDER FASTERTiësto clearly loves his music and he’s not scared to include some variety in his set, he doesn’t stop smiling, and I reckon we’ll be back again next year if he’s up for it…” – EFESTIVALSFor a DJ of firsts, he couldn’t have set the bar any higher for those who might try to follow in his footsteps and host an open-air party in London to rival this. If he ever returns even he might struggle to recapture the epic feel of this July evening.” – ZAP! BANG! MAGAZINEI’d be surprised if this event didn’t appear on the UK festival list as a regular from now on.” – THE MIRROR

EDITORS NOTES ABOUT TIESTO: The UK leg of the ‘Kaleidoscope’ became one of the most extravagant tours that the UK has ever seen. The shows were no-holds-barred, off the wall productions hosted by the world’s premiere DJ. In fact, they didn’t exceed expectations so much as blow them wide open. No expense was spared as his live shows transformed into fantastical celebrations of dance music itself. Visuals were kicked up into another level entirely, lightshows beamed out as if into space, and of course Tiësto’s wondrously euphoric brand of dance reduced the audience to a sweaty frenzy.   Tiësto is a man of “firsts”. He was the first DJ to sell out dates at the Brixton Academy (two nights in a row), Alexandra Palace, the O2 Arena, and last summer he was the first DJ to headline and sell-out a truly wondrous show at Victoria Park, London to over 25,000 fans. He is the only DJ ever to sell out a three-month residency at Privilege in Ibiza last summer, where he played to over 100,000 people and now Tiësto is coming back in the UK, straight off the back of his critically acclaimed sell out shows across England, Scotland and Wales.   Indeed, add to the list, writing and performing music for the 2004 Olympics for an audience over 4 Billion. Remixing everyone from Britney Spears to The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, selling out a 150 date world tour, collecting awards and nominations from the Grammy’s and MTV Music Awards, getting a wax statue at Madame Tussauds. To anyone else, any one of these milestones might sound staggering, but to the one-man electronic artist, producer and DJ phenomenon known as Tiësto, it’s just another regular day in the life.   Tiesto’s fourth studio album ‘Kaleidoscope’ featuring collaborations with an all star cast of Nelly Furtado, Kele Okereke (Bloc Party), Jonsi (Sigur Ros) and Calvin Harris) s out now on [PIAS] / Musical Freedom. Also, listen out for the stunning single ‘Who Wants To Be Alone’ featuring Nelly Furtado, currently being hammered by the UK radio stations. It’s a summer smash!   Make sure your book your tickets now, as not only are Tiësto shows not to be missed but they ALWAYS blow your mind.   TICKET INFO: Tickets are on general sale from www.aeglive.co.uk / www.ticketmaster.co.uk / 08444 775 775.   Tickets are priced from £39.00 plus booking fees.   Tiësto live at Victoria Park Friday 30th July 2010 2pm – 10.45pm Victoria Park, Grove Road, Tower Hamlets, London E3
