Christina Aguilera has revealed that she cancelled her summer tour because the show’s set-up felt wrong.
The singer said that she will reschedule the live shows once she has had more time to prepare and make changes to the production, but she promises that fans will be pleased.
“I put on a big show. I create sets, costumes,” she told The AP.
“There’s major choreography and dance numbers. All of that goes along with a huge production. And I started to feel this is not the right time. It’ll be a much better and bigger show when I have time to properly plan.”
Aguilera also revealed that the upbeat tone of her new album was inspired by her playful relationship with son Max.
“I can sit down and sing a ballad. But let’s have some fun thrown into the mix,” she said.
“You don’t have to try so hard on every song to be vocally acrobatic or whatever you want to call it.”
