ACCORDING TO MUSICROOM.NET ROBBIE WILLIAMS IS ABOUT TO ANNOUNCE HE HAS REJOINED TAKE THAT………
Robbie Williams is reportedly reuniting with Take That for “one year only”, during which he will release an album and tour with the group.
The 36-year-old singer quit the British boy band in 1995 to pursue a solo career. The group split the following year, but Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, Howard Donald and Jason Orange reformed it in 2005, and have released two hit albums since.
Over the past few years, there have been repeated rumours Robbie is planning to rejoin the group but he has always denied the reports.
Now, insiders claim Robbie is going back to the studio with his former bandmates to record a new album, which is due for release this Christmas. The group will embark on a UK tour next June, and are also said to be filming a Brokeback Mountain-themed music video for Shame, one of the album’s singles.
“Everything is in place now to formally announce Robbie’s return to Take That for one year only,” a source told British newspaper The Sun. “He will announce his comeback with a public statement. Then he’ll release Shame with Gary.”
Robbie and Gary announced they were recording Shame earlier this year. It will be released on October 4 and will feature on Robbie’s upcoming greatest hits album In And Out Of Consciousness as well as Take That’s new record.
Brokeback Mountain is a 2005 film about two gay cowboys starring Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal.
Robbie first joined Take That in 1990 when he was just 16 years old.
