Paintings, prints and photographs by Claire Robinson, Amanda Eady and Sheila Blakemore
Colour Collective is a group of three local artists whose work explores colour and texture through an investigation of natural forms. Their individual works collectively express the abstract qualities of place and time and come together as a celebration of life’s energy.
Amanda Eady was born in Hertfordshire in 1971, and moved to London to study Fine Art at Wimbledon School of Art. She works with video, painting, drawing, installation and photography, and likes to be outside with nature in all weathers.
Sheila Blakemore trained at Gloucester College of Art and still lives on the farm where she was born. Her photographic work is based on her home, her garden and its wonderful views. A country girl through and through, she is inspired by nature and its seasons.
Claire Robinson has worked in the arts for over 20 years. Having trained with a focus on public and community arts she has worked everywhere from the Forest Service Field Base (Kenai Peninsula, Alaska) to Tower Hamlets, to regeneration projects in North Kent before settling in Gloucestershire.
On Wednesday 4th August from 6 – 7.30pm there will be a private view in the gallery with the opportunity to meet the artists.
