Eagle Records are delighted to announce the release of the First new Doobie Brothers album for 10 years “World Gone Crazy” [Cat No. EAGCD431] on 4 October 2010, a 13 track album that comes packaged with a bonus DVD giving great value for money.  The line up for “Word Gone Crazy” features founder members and principal songwriters Tom Johnston (guitars & vocals) and Pat Simmons (guitars & vocals) alongside longtime members John McFee (guitars) and Mike Hossack (drums).  The legendary Willie Nelson and Michael McDonald also appear as guests on a track each.

“World Gone Crazy” is the first Doobie Brothers studio album since “Sibling Rivalry” 10 years ago. The album sees the band reunited with legendary producer Ted Templeman (Van Halen, Carly Simon & Eric Clapton among many others) who worked with them on their classic albums and hit singles including “Listen To The Music” in the early seventies and the chemistry between band and producer is clearly still there.

The band have just announced some UK dates: Fri Oct 29 – London, Hammersmith Apollo; Sat Oct 30 – Bristol, Colston Hall; Sun Oct 31 – Wolverhampton, Civic Hall; Mon Nov 1 – Manchester, Apollo; Wed Nov 3 – Dublin, Grand Theatre

On “World Gone Crazy” the Doobie Brothers’ renowned laid back California rock, with its blend of electric and acoustic instruments and superb vocal harmonies, is sounding as fresh as ever. It’s undeniably the Doobies but firmly planted in the 21st century.
