Live Nation Entertainment win again at the 2010 Billboard Touring Awards

Live Nation Entertainment and Download Festival swept the board at the 2010 Billboard Touring Awards, which took place last night in New York, Download Festival was crowned “Top Festival” beating off competition from Coachella and Oxegen Festivals. Also at the ceremony – which concluded the annual Billboard Touring Conference Live Nation Entertainment led the industry-related awards by being named the year’s Top Promoter and the Top Tour and Top Draw awards went to the Live Nation promoted U2 360 World Tour.
Headlined by AC/DC, Rage Against The Machine and Aerosmith, this year’s Download Festival was the biggest and best yet, with an extended capacity allowing over 100,000 fans on site for the weekend – making Download the second biggest festival in the UK after Glastonbury.
This is the second time that Download has won Top Festival, after also scooping the award in 2007.
